Due to current inventory and needs, please check the sign-up schedule at right before planning to deliver snack packs.
Snack Pack Drives We provide easily transportable food packs for young people experiencing homelessness who we engage street canvassing or who visit our Outreach Center. We may also provide snack packs to youth in our other programs, when available and appropriate. Distributing snack packs is a great way to build trust and encourage youth to meet with a case manager, who can work with them to create a plan to move from the streets into safe housing. You can organize your own drive off-site and assemble snack packs at your convenience. Volunteers provide all necessary snack pack materials.
Sack Lunches Once a week, we provide our young people with a sack lunch to take with them when they leave the center. Lunches can include sandwiches, fruit, chips, protein bars, drinks, desserts, or any other snack items. They can be dropped off at Oasis between 9:15 am – 4:00 pm Tuesdays. You can sign up for an available day on the schedule at right!
Hot Lunches We serve lunch most days at the Outreach Center, and we like to offer a few hot, homemade meals! We need volunteers to remotely prepare hot lunch and deliver it on Mondays between 9:15 – 10 am and on Thursdays between 9:15 am and 4 pm Volunteers do not serve lunch, but groups can work together to prepare remotely and drop off the food, which we can reheat on-site as necessary. Lunches can be anything you desire; hamburger casseroles, breakfast casserole, baked potato bar, lasagna, taco bakes, meatball subs, and warmed up meat and cheese sliders have been big hits. Lunch should serve approximately 25 people, which can be divided into portions by volunteers during preparation or we can portion the meals on-site. You can sign up for an available day on the schedule at right!
