Oasis Transitions

Getting on track for a successful career is tough for most teens. For teens who’ve dropped out of school or are living in poverty or have been involved in the court system, that challenge feels nearly impossible.

Oasis Transitions provides the support system for youth who face the greatest barriers to long-term career success and quality of life.

Regardless of a young person’s background, Transitions provides a foundation for a promising future. With the support of a mentor, youth identify their personal strengths and interests, engage in meaningful career exploration and training, and work toward an individualized career plan that is realistic and attainable.

Additional learning opportunities such as soft-skills training, resume development, workplace professionalism, and money management improve their chances for long term success.

But nothing is more valuable than actual hands-on work experience. The local business community is vital in this effort. From job shadowing to full-time employment, partner employers provide young people the support, structure, and opportunity to hone their career skills.
