Training Opportunity

On Saturday, August 12th, from 10-11:30 a.m., Oasis Center will be hosting LGBTQ+ 101: Supporting LGBTQ+ Youth, for community members and Oasis volunteers at the Youth Opportunity Center.

LGBTQ+ 101 is designed to equip and empower individuals who work with youth with the knowledge and tools they need to support and respect LGBTQ+ youth so they can learn, grow, and thrive. Utilizing current school climate data, this session will offer introductory best practices on creating open and affirming spaces for all young people, especially those who identify within the LGBTQ+ spectrum.

This course is a great starting point for individuals who want to learn best practices for understanding and respecting our youth and others in the LGBTQ+ community!
