Volunteer Spotlight

Meet Bingham Barnes.

Bingham has been volunteering with Oasis Center for nearly three years, since he enrolled in his first Adult Bike Workshop as a participant. He had such a great time building his own bike, that he decided to help others share the experience by volunteering. He loves getting to meet so many people from across Nashville whose paths he might not otherwise cross. He’s also a cycling enthusiast and believes getting more people on bikes will positively impact the environment and overall health and well-being.

Want to join our team of volunteers? For the 2024-2025 school year, we need volunteers to help in our bike workshops in Metro schools on weekdays (usually Monday–Thursday) and tutors at our NSCC campuses (White Bridge, Antioch, and Madison). Recruiting will start in late July.
