Graphic Novel Design Camp
The third installment in the Underground Art Studio's Graphic Novel Design Workshop series took place over spring break, with seven students participating. The group included four first-time students, who were introduced to the basics of digital art tools and other media before starting to design their own characters and craft stories based on socially impactful issues. Three returning students continued honing their skills and fleshing out their characters and stories.
This workshop was part of a four-series project, with Nashville youth spending their school breaks creating a collaborative graphic novel that will be completed after the final session this summer. Once concluded, the artwork will be compiled into a hard-bound book and published, with each participant being credited for their contribution. These workshops have been a great way for youth to spend their school breaks unleashing their creativity!
