2026 Summer Camps!

Bike Workshop Interns
The 2026 cohort of seven Bike Workshop interns tirelessly exercised their bodies and minds this summer. They began their four-week internship by learning to build their own bikes which helped them travel all over Nashville this June. Next, they refurbished bike frames for youth at Aventura K-8 School by sanding and hand painting each piece before leading the students through building their very own bike!
Interns rode through Nashville on their adventures, putting their road safety and maintenance skills to the test.

Your Story Continues
This summer, nine youth experienced a season filled with fun, discovery, and personal growth through the Your Story Continues (YSC) Summer Camp. Youth connected with nature by feeding the birds at the Nashville Zoo, paddle boarding on Tennessee waterways, and visiting The Gentle Barn. They were also able to explore Cumberland University and celebrate World

Refugee Day through food, dance, and cultural connection. Over four weeks, students engaged in experiences that broadened their horizons and strengthened friendships.
Through mindfulness activities, leadership development, and service-learning opportunities, youth strengthened their confidence, teamwork, and sense of belonging.
One of the summer’s most meaningful moments was a service project supporting refugee families where participants assembled and donated four kitchen kits filled with essential household items and shared heartfelt letters of encouragement.

Just Camp
The Just Us program wrapped up four weeks of summer camps this June, celebrating Pride Month and providing exciting, educational opportunities for eighteen young people. Our Becoming Us middle school campers explored different types of art at The Frist Art Museum, conquered obstacles high above the trees at Nashville Adventure Park, and learned more about stars and dinosaurs at the Adventure Science Center.

Our Just Us high school campers enjoyed a performance of Hamilton at TPAC on Juneteenth, worked together to problem solve their way out of The Ruins at The Escape Game Nashville, and met with college professionals from both Oasis Center and Nashville State Community College to discuss and explore their post high school options.

Both groups of campers also worked on community service projects by designing, building, and painting three benches that are now displayed and available for use in a shared community garden!

REAL Summer Cohort
Our Reaching Excellence as Leaders (REAL) summer cohort consisted of four young men who consistently showed up for themselves and each other. Through hard conversations ranging from regulating emotions to interpersonal relationships, these young people learned better coping, communication, and overall life skills in a safe and judgement-free environment.

The program also involved fun activities as a way for young people to have fun, to participate in childhood experiences, and to connect with their community. Youth were able to express their creativity in our Underground Art Studio, and they also burned off some energy at Top Golf, an adventure ropes course, and the skating rink. Over the summer session, these young men positively contributed to their community through their work in the community garden at Alameda Christian Church. On top of weeding, digging, and planting, they painted a bench for the garden as a place to rest and enjoy the surrounding beauty.
