Look What's Cookin'!

Oasis Center's Maptivist research and action mapping team is on the move! This community mapping (Maptivist) program is part of Vanderbilt University's Longitudinal Study of Youth Safety and Well-Being charged with creating a comprehensive dataset that will allow for a deeper understanding of youth experience in Nashville. What better way to understand our youth than through the lens of the young people themselves?

To achieve this, our youth Maptivist team has been busy collecting community input, learning about Nashville (its history, people, and places), and using their voices to positively impact our community for generations to come. We can't wait to hear what they've learned about our community, the issues they've explored and the goals for change in Nashville! We're looking forward to hearing from them as they've been selected to present at this year's Resilience Conference in April!
