VOICE Center Opens Its Doors

Last Thursday, Oasis Center, Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency, and community partners held the grand opening of the new VOICE Center, with Mayor Freddie O'Connell, @tndeptoflaborworkforce Deputy Commissioner Dewayne Scott, elected officials, partners, and community members joining us for the celebration.

The Valuing Opportunities, Inclusion and Connectivity for Everyone (VOICE) Center is a new one-stop service center where residents from MDHA’s Napier Place and Sudekum Apartments and across Nashville can access resources from MDHA Resident Services and nonprofit partners and agencies.

Oasis Center's micro drop-in space for youth, ages 10-17, at the VOICE center provides afterschool education assistance, school truancy prevention, arts/cultural enrichment activities, mentoring, and additional wraparound support resource referrals for youth and their families in MDHA affordable housing communities around the VOICE Center.

We're excited for this opportunity to serve youth in Nashville out in the community!
