Congratulations to REAL Program Graduates!

In September, our most recent REAL (Reaching Excellence As Leaders) cohort graduated from their program! Oasis honored them with a graduation ceremony, with REAL participants and their families, staff from Nashville's Juvenile Court and Youth Villages, and current and former Oasis Center staff in attendance to provide support and share words of encouragement with the young men.

Participants had a chance to share about some of their favorite program activities, which included visiting the Tennessee College of Applied Technology, engaging in service projects, touring the the Nashville Museum of African American Music, and playing basketball.

Guest speaker Daryl Curry, former Oasis College Connection Program Manager and current VP of Education & Talent Development at the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, and Lee Gray, Senior Director of School-based Programs at Oasis Center, handed out certificates of completion to the REAL graduates. The ceremony was followed by a small reception at the Youth Opportunity Center.

These young men worked hard, learned a lot, and had fun. We can't wait to see what they do next!
